Can You Feel it Folks?

If people outside of the South want to know how passionate Southerners are about their football all they have to do is look at the festivities surrounding spring practice. Now I am not trying to say that fans will turn out like they do for the regular season but they do turn out. Last year the University of Memphis had close to ten thousand for the spring game; this is a school that couldn't draw ten thousand fans, on a good day, ten years ago. Look at how many showed up for the South Carolina spring game last year. Hell they even put the game on ESPN 2, now that is saying some. Maybe that they were searching for content but that is another story. So when the rest of the country is trying to stay warm, the 1st two weeks of April, Southerns will be basking in the sun watching some football and drinking a cold one. Well this should help us make it to August when fall practice begins.
